Cohort 5 Application

The ASTHO Leadership Institute provides ongoing professional development for governmental public health leaders, including state and territorial health officials (S/THOs) and their executive team members. Leadership retreats for all health officials and individual cohort experiences for newly appointed S/THOs are at the focal point of the Leadership Institute for networking opportunities and leadership development. Through the Public Health Infrastructure Grant (PHIG), we have extended the ASTHO Leadership Institute cohort experience to peer network members. For more information, contact our Leadership Development team at LeadershipDevelopment@astho.org.

ASTHO’s flagship development program works with experts in executive leadership, nationally recognized public health professionals, and alumni members to offer a customized learning program. The program includes opportunities to:

  • Forge stronger professional bonds with peers.
  • Broaden leadership acumen, empowering effective self, organizational, and transformative leadership.
  • Apply learning strategies directly to public health practice.
